There is nothing to do to this bike for many miles but ride. It has the right amount of technology to be reliable and easy to work on, while providing incredible performance, handling and comfort. You can ride coast to coast in comfort, or carve the dragon *see my FB profile pictures*. I personally know of 3 RT's with over 150,000 miles rode daily. These are built to last, be comfortable, with factory locking luggage. Go fast long distance, with exceptional handling and great economy. With almost 6.5 Gal and 43-49 MPG you can go and go.
New bikes are great, but they cost x4, with Tech subject to dealer only maintenance and expensive repair cost ($120 hr labor). Anyone with average mechanical ability can enjoyable maintain and repair a BMW R1150RT with no special tools.
