Belvedere translates from the Italian to Bello, meaning beautiful and Vedere, which means to see or view, thus...Belvedere or Beautiful View. The view begins as you wind your way up the 1/2 mile long wooded driveway. As you pass between the brick columns, with Guarding Eagles, you know you are in for a special treat.
Occasionally we see wild turkeys in the carport, eagles soaring overhead or deer on the driveway. You will always see the breathtaking view of Mount LeConte' and the surrounding peaks in the Smoky Mountain National Park. It is wonderful to sit on the covered terrace with a fresh mug of coffee and see the vivid colors of the sun setting behind the mountains.
Our home is completely furnished and has a fully equipped kitchen with beautiful granite countertops. You can cook up a sumptuous meal or make my wife's favorite thing for dinner....a reservation at one of the great local eateries.
Belvedere is casually elegant and appointed with tasteful furnishings, antiques, original artwork and handmade rugs, many of which we have collected on our travels. You will sleep comfortably in our pillow-top mattress and luxury bedding.
There are areas of the over 4,100 square feet home that can accommodate the different age groups. Our teens like to hang out in the living room and watch movies or play their playstations, while the little ones explore outside. The guys like to play pool or watch a ballgame in the downstairs gameroom, while the ladies gather around the fireplace in the family room with a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the mountain views. Belvedere has a place for everyone to enjoy.
Just minutes away is the Dollywood Theme Park, terrific shopping in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, wonderful restaurants, and plenty of outdoor activities from hiking scenic trails, skiing, snowboarding or tubing in the mountain streams.
