Volunteer project: Nguyen Dinh Chieu is a school for blind children
and a center for blind adults. They have difficulties in their daily
activities and daily life. Volunteers will help them clean and keep the
school nice by sweeping the classrooms and the playground every day. The
volunteers will also paint the walls and repair study tables and chairs
for the children. In the free time, volunteers can help teachers and
staff with some other tasks in the school. The volunteers should create
a friendly English-speaking environment in order to help the people
learn and communicate in English and feel confident.
Special requirements: We are
looking for volunteers who work well with disadvantaged people,
especially with the blind. Volunteers will work in
a different
social and cultural environment and have to be flexible. They need also to
be able to ride a bicycle in a city.
