Thanks for opening this bulletin. Someone that I'm proud to call a friend of mine is in serious need of a custom made wheelchair because of her small size.

Her insurance has screwed her... of course, and it's going to cost anywhere in the range of $2500-$3500 to have one made for her.

She lives in NY and is the most amazing photographer I know. She's having a major series of knee surgeries and will have to stay in hospital rehab if she's not able to obtain the money to get this chair.

This is not a hoax.... you have my word.

She has prints of her photography work available for purchase on her myspace site, as I do also. Right now, all of the prints I have for sale are only $10 for size up to an 8x10 and ALL profits will go directly to her.

If you just want to make a donation, get in touch with me and I would like to collect as much money as possible to send to show our support. Or if you prefer, I can give you her address and you can mail straight to her.

Even if you only have a dollar or 5 dollars, please help me show my friend that she has our support.

Red Can Comics is looking for someone to help us get our webcomics started! www.redcancomics.com is a new, up-and-coming website, and we want YOU to help us get going! We have some scripts written already, but need some artists to help us make the books (since comics are just scripts without the illustrations). If you want to just do pencil drawings, that's cool. If you illustrate and ink, that's cool too. If you draw, ink and color, fantastic. Whatever you do, we need you.

The only catch is, at this time, we are unable to offer monetary compensation. As the website gets more visitors, we would certainly be more than happy to give you your page rate. Right now, we're just trying to get our name out there, and, if you'd like to help us, email us at artists@redcancomics.com and include some samples of your sequential art and covers. *****This auction is for one REEL of one inch 8 track professional studio tape (analog), which contains the original 5 songs recorded by the Memphis rock (psychedelic) "garage" band, named: 'The Changing Tymes.' **This tape contains three different versions of their 1969 release: "Blue Music Box" (two versions have never before been heard), as are four other original tunes by this Memphis rock N roll band of the late 1960's. ***Here are the titles to the songs included on these tapes: "HARK THE CHILD" (eery psychedelic mantra against the war in Vietnam): "Karolina Kroone" (a very harmonic and humorous take off, from a tune which I heard in a Laurel & Hardy show. I put words to that tune and came up with this very creative and original "spooning tune"); Three different versions of "Blue Music Box" (one slow and one faster, one more psyched out); and "Something They Ate" (a real 12 string psyche tune, reminiscent of The Byrd's) all about taking acid in the 1960's. ALSO: the B side to their 45 release "Chicago Street Fight' (a very much Byrds sounding tune, describing the chaos of the 1968 Democratic Convention! These songs were recorded in Memphis, Tennessee in October 1968, at the 'Sounds of Memphis' temporary studio, which was located in an alley off Camilla Street, near the Memphis medical center, prior to Sounds of Memphis moving into it's newly completed recording studio on Rayner Street.
